Northwest Arkansas has a wonderful bike riding trail system! The Ozark Mountains of Northwest Arkansas are fitted with trails of all types. There are miles of professionally-built trails and the area has 287 trails for all types of riders. Now open in Bella Vista, is a bike trail called The Back 40, which loops around the east side of Bella Vista. The Back 40 will be built in multiple phases and will eventually encompass 150 miles of natural-surface trail within the 45 square miles of Bella Vista.
Additional bike trail areas within greater Bentonville and Fayetteville include: Bella Vista - 12 trails, Bentonville - 28 trails, Fayetteville - 10 trails, Rogers - 17 trails and Springdale - 1 trail. Bike trails within Northwest Arkansas include: Devil's Den State Park - 1 trail, Eureka Springs - 16 trails,Fort Smith - 9 trails, Lincoln Lake - 4 trails, Morrilton - 1 trail, Ozark National Forest - 67 trails, Russellville - 3 trails, and Woolly Hollow State Park - 1 trail.
