    Harrison is in a great location if you're a climber!! It is only around an hour away from a majority of the rock climbing in the state, whether it's bouldering, sport climbing, or trad climbing. Horseshoe Canyon is one of the closer areas. This private crag has high concentration stuff in all three disciplines and is home to the famous 24 hours of Horseshoe Hell. The Sam's Throne Region consists of Sam's Throne proper (primarily trad) and a handful of satellite crags that offer mainly sport climbing. It is not uncommon to get a short day or work in and get some pitches in. When the weather gets hot, there is a handful of areas to water boulder along the Buffalo River. Elevate Sports is the climbing gym in Harrison. It offers bouldering, two auto-belays, and various training equipment.
  • Harrison is truly a hidden gem. There is so much to see and do for everyone including extensive nature trails, the world-renowned Buffalo River, and the Arkansas Grand Canyon.     Established in 1924, Harrison Country Club is one of the oldest golf courses in northern Arkansas. HCC features an 18 hole golf course with bent grass greens that have been rated some of the finest in Arkansas. Features a wonderful restaurant, pool, tennis, and golf.

    Dogpatch USA was a theme park located in northwest Arkansas along State Highway 7 between the cities of Harrison and Jasper, an area known today as Marble Falls. It was based on the comic strip Li'l Abner, created by cartoonist Al Capp and set in a fictional village called Dogpatch. The park opened in 1968, and closed in 1993.
